We are working tirelessly to organize the in-person event in February, but the recent San Francisco bay area strict stay-at-home orders, hotel restrictions, increasing number of travels checkpoints and the uncertainty around the world forced us to turn our CCE-2021 into a fully virtual conference.
We have been in constant discussions with our venue partners, board members and the local supporting staff to stay abreast of the challenges and complexities in the face of disruption due to COVID-19. CDC guidelines says large in-person gatherings are still a high COVID-19 risk, where it is difficult for individuals to remain spaced at least 6 feet apart and attendees travel from outside the local area.
Many universities still have travel restrictions for its staff, this uncertainty preventing many attendees to join us for in-person meeting in San Francisco, leading to turn our CCE-2021 into a fully virtual conference. The virtual event will feature the same high-quality lectures of the in-person meeting and the original program of the conference will be the same as much as possible but will be a 5-day program instead of 3 taking into consideration of the time zone differences and the overwhelming participation from around the world.
There is no change in the registration prices for this 5-day program and your registration will be automatically converted to the virtual event, so we very much hope that your presentation will create the same interest among the conference participants.
We will be using the Zoom based web application for live virtual presentations (Demo will be provided from February 1, 2021).
You will have around 17 minutes (including 3 min Q&A) to deliver an oral presentation. The final program of the conference with presentation timings will be released before February 5, 2021.
